Maria Larabee
Artist Maria Larabee is an amazing acrylic artist. She started while attending a painting class with her sister about 20 years ago. Maria's love of painting was rekindled after retirement. She rarely goes a day without painting and loves to paint flowers, birds, old world Santa’s, ornaments, canvas, etc. She can paint in oil, watercolor and acrylic but likes acrylic best as it’s more versatile and dries fast. Watch out, if it doesn’t move, Maria might paint it!! Her husband keeps her out of the garage; he is afraid sunflowers will magically appear on his mover! Maria and John also have beautiful gardens and she finds great inspiration from nature for her paintings.
Maria says "I really like being one of the artists at “Under the Cherry Blossoms” I love the staff and have made great friendships with other fellow artists. It’s a really fun thing to sell items that I put a lot of work and love into. It gives me satisfaction to know that someone appreciates my hand-painted items. I jump at the chance to take art lessons when the opportunity presents itself or incorporate new ideas other artists and customers give me. It drives me to be better."
